Energy saving
Energy saving/ water softeners
At a time when we are constantly reminded to save energy in any way possible such as double glazing, Solar panels, heat pumps and even wind power for our homes, alongside the very important addition of insulation, we are prompted to turn down our heating a degree or two and even fit energy saving bulbs.
But for over 60% of homes in the UK there is another (largely) ignored, or little understood way, not only to save money, but to also increase our comfort levels and get a really quick payback on the investment With an estimated payback time of just three years, as opposed to 15 -20 years for double glazing or solar panels, it really is a very sound investment!
But it's not just the energy savings that you get from a water softener, it's far more than that, most people in hard water areas already know the problems associated with hard water deposits, especially with cleaning of taps, sinks and showers etc, but how many people are aware that the vast amount of scale remains unseen within their plumbing and heating system as useless chunks of rock, choking the systems, increasing fuel costs, burning out heating elements (remember the Calgon advertisement?) everything that hard water touches it damages in one way or the other, not just your washing machine.
Without hard water scale (rock) choking you plumbing and heat system, you are concentrating heat directly to your water rather than hard water deposits, meaning that you will make sure that 100% of energy goes where it is need and 100% of the ever increasing cost of energy is used to its maximum.
Without hard water scale, you will halve (or even more) the amount of cleaning materials, soaps, shampoos and washing powders that you use, and that also adds to the amount of money saved.
Without hard water scale you will use far less cleaning and washing chemicals, therefore less pollution is washed to the drainage system and into the soil, so you can also contribute to saving the eco system.
